The President of the Russian Academy of Arts learnt about it during his recent visit to Stavropol when he promised to donate one of his works for the charitable auction in favor of Stavropol orphan asylums.

|24.12.09: Press-service| // To mark the 100th birth anniversary of the eminent diplomat and politician Andrei Gromyko, a memorial plaque designed by Zurab Tsereteli was unveiled on the wall of the house in Leontievsky Pereulok where he had lived from 1963 till 1989. Andrei Gromyko served as Foreign Minister of the Soviet Union from 1957 till 1985 and was the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet in 1985-1988.
